What is an Affogato?
The Affogato, an Italian masterpiece, is wonderful in its simplicity. This delicacy is a lovely combination of flavors, combining the lusciousness of vanilla ice cream with the intensity of espresso. Step 1: You can expect an exceptional espresso experience with our DCA hazelnut coffee beans. You can either use ground beans or whole beans.
If you've purchased our wholebean option, simply begin by grinding the beans until they are perfectly smooth. However if you've purchased our ground then you can go ahead by filling the espresso basket, aim for 16-18g in a double basket or follow machine instructions.
Start the shot by inserting the loaded portafilter into the espresso machine. Set your home espresso machine to automatic mode if you have one. The optimal espresso shot should last between 25 and 30 seconds.
Step 2: Add two delicious scoops of vanilla ice cream or gelato into a small sipping glass and indulge your senses. Add your freshly brewed Hazelnut espresso.
Step 3: To add a finishing touch, add shaved dark chocolate over the top of your drink. Serve immediately and enjoy the sumptuous delights of this espresso-infused bliss.
